So I got a letter from immigration yesterday so I found out why my case is taking long it is because I am on processing hold on "Security checks" and they said they are waiting on FBI to clear the Security checks once they get the results then they will make a decision on my case. Whew that's a relief! Hurry up FBI and do your work and clear my security checks I'm not a criminal! I have a super clean record!

Where did you go/How did you obtain this information? I'd like to find out exactly why mine is taking so long as well!

sigh

"The status of this service request is:

We have received your inquiry stating that your Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (Form I-821D) is beyond the expected six month processing period. USCIS is making every effort to process these cases within the stated timeframes and hope to move your case in the near future. However, at this time we cannot provide a specific date on which a final decision will be made on your request for deferred action."

this sounds even worse than the others
