hi everyone i have one question to all of you .....i got approved last month and i recently went to apply for my social security number and the lady at the social security office told my social can take up to 2-32 weeks to arrive and is been 2 week already and i haven't got anything on the mail.....you guys think is going to take the full 32 weeks and if that case why in the hell i got approved if social security is going to take another year to give me a social number to work.....i probably sound desperate but it too USCIS 8 and half months to approve EAD i can wait another 32 weeks to get a social security number

ps. any ideas what can i do besides waiting?

Which state do you live in - CA? A social security card should not take 32 weeks to arrive in the mail... You should call them (1-800-772-1213) and find out the status of your application. Or email:

Does anyone know why DACA cases are being transferred to local USCIS offices (other than to even out the caseloads at the S.C.'s)?

The reason I ask is because two of my sisters applied in late January and their cases were transferred in May. I applied in early December and it hasn't been updated since Dec. 11th. I checked several receipt #'s before and after mine (same 'received' date) - about 90% of them have been transferred but mine has not. There must be a reason as to why they transfer some and skip others (consecutively). Anyone know?

I am 22, and I live in Northern California. I was working with a fake ssn as an Auditor for 3 years. I was afraid to give the new ssn and EAD to my boss thinking he would fire me, but thank God everything was ok and I got to keep my job. Good luck Everyone !!

Both of my sisters have the same type of case as me because we were minors when that was going on. Their apps were transferred so that can't be the reason.

I just put in a service request for emrgency expidition .. They told me that I will hear from them by the 18th of June.. I hope this helps!!! Just wanted to share
