Lost my ead smdh!!!!!!!

I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD BE SAYING THIS BUT I LOST MY EAD!!!!!!!!!!!!! JUST WHEN I THOUGHT THIS WEEK COULDNT GET ANY WORSE!!!!! HOW DO I GO ABOUT FILING A REPLACEMENT? DID ANYONE BESIDES MY DUMBASS LOSS THEIRS? I'm filing another i-765 what next? I lost it in the most messed up way is what annoys me!!!!!!!!

I think you just file the i-765 and check the box where it says replacement and send the fee again. There was a few people who lost theirs here and received their replacements. Also, some had to get a replacement because of USCIS didn't print their info correctly. May I ask how you lost your EAD? Did you always carry it with you? I m personally skeptic about taking it with me everywhere, I leave it at home with my SSN card in an envelope in a safe:P You can never be too careful with such sensitive documents.

I was hoping no one would ask, but I always check to see if i have my wallet one me before i leave the bus. look at what i just posted above, dude I feel so dumb that i cant even be angry at myself how much is the fee?

You need to call USCIS so they can deactivate the card then and should file a police report concerning.You can go here to find out how to replace a lost or stolen EAD.

I was talking to a friend about the police report and he was trying to tell me make up a story because if I tell them I lost it on a bus, it is out of their hands.

Sorry you lost your card. This is one of my biggest worries. Like others have said, if I were you I'd file a police report. You never know the type of person that might have picked up your wallet. Someone out there could be using your EAD for their own personal gain instead of turning it in. Hopefully USCIS sends you a replacement soon.
