Hey how is everyone doing ? ^^ Well I just got a job finally, im going to be working in a assisting living facility, but I didnt tell my employer about being on DECA, before you get the actual job you have to pass a background check(Livescan)and do a physical. They told me I passed my background check yay so now tomorrow I just have to do my physical and then go to the office and fill out some paperwork they told me to bring my social and ID, I hope they are not against DECA...but im really looking forward to working there the starting pay is $10 which is Great! Just wanted to give you guys an update on things, good luck to all of you ^^

Sent my application in late March, they received it April 5th, got my biometrics taken 5/17 and I'm still waiting which after seeing so many people waiting for 6+months I shouldn't be complaining, i have a friend who applied around the same time as me, his biometrics appointment was on 5/02 and he was approved second week of July which makes me worry a little since both of our cases were handled by the Nebraska office. Has anyone been approved lately?

Hey guys - a little late to the game in joining the dream act portal. I have been coming and reading posts for a long time but never commented or posted. I am happy to announce I got my approval yesterday but wanted to share my timeline for all of you that are still waiting!

Application received by USCIS: April 22, 2013
Biometrics : May 28, 2013
Approval: August 19, 2013

I had put my package together on my own but felt more comfortable having a lawyer sign off on everything so I ended up sending it all thru her.

A little background info on me: came to the US when I was 4 as a dependent on parents visa. Went thru two H1-B dependent terms and because of terrible lawyer advice switched to TN dependent, renewed every year since until I aged out at 21. Married a non-citizen who is here on a visa so cannot adjust thru marriage. Hopeful something gets figured out with immigration reform and for us dreamers!

Nebraska has been going at it but not for everybody

I asked what I did because I feel they have been approving either 'young' applicants or the ones that have a family/kids. Again, not being approved makes you a bit more paranoid than usual haha.

Obviously not from everybody. Plus, I'm sure five months was not the time frame at the time of your application. (I'm not trying to start an argument, that's just how I'm seeing things, and yes, I am being a bit biased since I see how in everyday life people get special privileges for having kids and being married).

I applied mid-February ... And I am certain 6 months has always been the official limit before a service request. And that 'Tony' user has kids and I am pretty sure he is waiting since late march.
