Yeah, congrats to jmedina6198. I was hoping to get approved this week or next because next week is my birthday. Now I'm hoping I get approved sometime by mid-October. I guess we just have to have faith and wait, that's all we can do.

App sent: 6/19, Bio done: 7/25, and now just waiting. A considerable amount of people around me have been approved. Oh God, I just got a text from USCIS. Let me go and check the website.

So while I was responding I got the text and I went and checked the website. It says that my name had been updated, so that makes me happy that someone is looking at my case. I think other people have been approved a day after or near after they got that message.

But not with same message...

Yeah some people get a text saying "name updated or something" and in a few hours, bang approval!

But i got a text saying that my case was updated, and a email saying that my card was in production.

Yeah, I've seen several that get "name updated" and a few hours later they'll get updated. I had a feeling that I would have gotten a RFE, they still might give me a RFE. When i sent in my package the closest I had to June 15 was the last day of my junior year May the 18th and the beginning of my senior year August the 5th. Since then I've found more evidence if I do get an RFE...

Actually you want to receive the text saying your case was updated. I have never heard anyone getting approved after a name update.
