I've read in many places about unique names being associated with faster approval times when applying. Has anyone experienced this or know if there is any truth to this?

Please share timelines if you think your unique name helped you get a faster approval.

I know the application approval process is complex and does factor in other things like service center, your package and criminal records etc. I guess my wishful thinking hopes this is the case and hopefully get a faster approval. I just recently applied.

Thanks

I have an unique first name and somewhat uncommon last name. I have a clean record, never been arrested, never done anything wrong, provided every proof possible and yet I have been waiting for a year.

What you mentioned sounds so familiar to my situation. I was hoping for some signs that I wouldn't have to wait over six months, guess I better prepare myself for a LONG run. I will hold you in my prayers that you be approved soon, I just started and the wait is already agonizing. Please keep me posted.

Best regards and God bless,

I also have a pretty 'unique' name and no criminal background.

Even if there are people with same names, there's always DOB, height, eye color, hair color...to differentiate people. USCIS is being bad at handling things.

Thanks TinyDancer11, I sure do hope so. This agony, lack of response and cookie cutter answers from the requests I have filed, have me livid!
SRafaela I'm sorry to hear that we are both on the same boat. Good thing you at least got an RFE. The only response I've gotten from them was that my case was transferred and that was back in February.
Maybe yours will get approved sooner.

Best of luck to us all!

I got a unique first name, was approved in 4 months. I don't think it had nothing to do with having a unique name though. I had a misdemeanor that delayed my approval. Texas was just fast with approvals.

My husbands name is Ramon Rosendo Acosta Castro, timeline is displayed. Common names, but uncommonly arranged I guess lol. But most of his stuff was under Ramon Acosta, which is super common

I guess I can only hope that Texas still is fast. 4 months sounds pretty darn good to me.

I know nothing I find online will give me an indication of how long my application process will last. But my wondering mind won't let me just sit around and not do research.
