They have different verification systems, I have 7 credit cards now with over a year of credit history yet up until recently I could only get a credit report from one bureau (Experian). Now just a week ago I was also finally able to get access to Transunion after sending in some proof of ID over the fax. So that's 2 out of 3 for me so far. Still not all.

today i got my new capital one credit card!!

has anyone tried the citi student credit card and have they gotten approved because I have the same problem i cannot get approved and also with background checks my social comes out to be invalid

I have couple credit cards with Citi and updating my SSN with them was a pain. I sent my documents twice and in the end I had to do it over the phone six months after I got my SSN because I couldn't link my new citi card to my account due to the SSN being different from my other cards. They told me the reason why was because they have a pool of SSN they check your number against and if your SSN is too new then it'll come up as invalid. From experience, the bank you have your checking account with is more willing to give you a credit card.

Does Anyone Know what DEPARTMENT STORES (khols, JCPenny, etc.) give Credit (CREDIT CARDS) to applicants with an ITIN ??

Applied for Discover It Student Card on friday and it arrived on my door step today (monday morning). They gave me a $800 credit line, I don't have credit but I signed up for direct deposit through my employer. I'm currently an intern, and attending university.

I also got approved for a Mastercard through Capital One ($500 credit line).

I tried Express and it gave me a $250 credit line. Just remember that you're asking for 'store cards' and not credit cards by MasterCard, Visa, Discover, etc.

I have a JcPenny, BestBuy,Victoria Secrets, Discover,Capital One and CareCredit all with my ITIN.

are you serious latinbaby83 ?? what ID did you show?, because some people only have their Consular ID and the ITIN Letter from the IRS.
I personally only have the CAPITAL ONE Credit Card and Bill Me Later Credit in my PayPal Account.

Well I applied online for all of them with the Discover they called me to ask some questions and that's it.
