Thank you. I'm still waiting haven't heard anything yet. My lawyer thinks the hold up is my homeschool high school diploma but my lawyer and I know that in Texas homeschooling is legal. Gov.Rick Perry passed it in 2003. Bill called "House Bill 944". Don't understand why it's so hard for them just to approve me! ! It's very upsetting just waiting and waiting........

13 months now!!! I've talked to both my senator and his team. There is nothing more they can do or answer.

On a side note, thanks to the Illinois gov for passing gay marriage and doma being knocked out! My partner and I can officially marry in June and start filing paperwork for my citizenship. Which means we will be on the right track to starting a family!

Life can only get better at this point... Right?

Yes,life has a funny way of showing us things.

Kudus to Illinois's Governor !!! Not wanting to get off topic, but if you are able to get to another state that allows gay marriage u can apply to adjust status regardless if the state you reside in recognizes it.

Congrats, that looks like a good sign. I think the employment authorization is approved first then followed by the I821D but give it a couple days to be sure, don't put your hopes all up just in case, but just know there is a high probability this is it.

OMG! So i received a txt msg this afternoon from USCIS around 4pm saying my i-765 got APPROVED! im soooooo relieeeeved! For those who are still waiting im praying to god that you guys get approve asap. and just to shed some light, my case was very complicated. I had a previous case before and a misdemeanor for trespassing back in 2008. thank god i showed every bank statements and school records in my packet. I never got RFE. i packaged everything by myself without a lawyer. had no ideaaa they'll even look at my case since i have a criminal record and previous case i thought they'll refer me to ICE or something. if i can give that officer a hug i would do it thousand time lol!! im glad i found a forum like this with so much support.
agaaain, im praying all you get approved and dont give up hope!
