For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

Looks like you should be receiving something in the mail. Sometimes it doesn't go from Approval to Card Production, it can skip to the last step.

It can take about a week for a letter to reach you. How long has it been?

I applied for AP and I got rfe. I want to visit my grandma for humanitarian reasons. she is old and had a surgery. I sent documents from 2011 and they request more recent documents. can someone please share what they sent? so I can request it from my grandma? does it have to be a serious illness like cancer or something.

Yes, just get your grandmother's doctor to send you a letter explaining her illness and that she is asking for your support. Once you get the letter you'll have to get it translated.

In my case, I sent a translated letter from my grandpa's doctor stating that he is old (81) as a consequence of two cancer treatments in the past he suffers from heart and kidney conditions. I didn't send in any exams or "evidence" per se and I was approved in less than a month. Just have her doctor write a note that she is elderly and in poor health and you will get it. Best of luck!

Paper came in just in time. My aunt will not make it past this month. I'm leaving Saturday to Mexico.
