If your a student, most colleges offer free counseling services.

avail yourself of it - you pay for it anyway through tuition.

Sounds like depression. As someone that has gone through this and has worked with the mental health department of my university. If you are in a university they will usually have a mental health department and you should be able to get some sessions for free, it does help.

But on the longer term process, and it may be arduous, its hard to determine how long it will last, but all you can do is trying to address how you go about your day. Finding something that you enjoy is one option, I have found volunteering and talking about my experiences to others that can relate really helped me cope with my depression.

You could try to locate a non-profit organization in your area that works with undocumented immigrants for advice, or resources you might be able to access.

That was me this semester.

I got really stressed out because my internship is coming to an end so I have to work extra hard in order to get renewed; made a commitment to do research with a professor this semester but haven't even started; I hate the lab course I'm taking this semester and my lab partners are not doing their part; I hate the general education writing course I am being required to take; this girl I liked didn't like me back.

I manage to feel a little better by having lots of sex, riding my bike 20+ miles, and thinking about my trip to my home country this summer.

Just remember that depression is a physical thing, i.e. chemical imbalances in the body. Exercise and nutrition can help with it. Eat a pound of good quality (organic, grassfed if you can find) liver and you'll feel brand new the next day. My name is not carnivore for no good reason.

From my experience mental health counseling doesn't help. I didn't want to be talked to as if I'm a child and didn't want fake sympathy.

What pulled me out of depression was by doing what I wanted to do. Went through depression in college, and I ended up withdrawing to take the semester off. I threw away tens of thousands of dollars but it was better than letting it fester.

Thanks guys, it didn't even occur to me that counseling at school was an option. Although I have to admit that it is a little embarrassing..

I'm walking around with bruising on half my lip, it looks like I put gothic lipstick on and gave up half way. That's embarrassing, LOL.

Just take the counseling, and make the most of it, although I don't think counseling works IMO. You just have to fight the power yourself.

I saw a counselor in college. It helped! Though recently I have also felt some of what the OP has stated. I guess that's life, eh?

Idk bro , back in the days liver was a good idea. Liver stores all the bad shit in the environment, and today there's a lot of shit.
Sex is just temporary. Exercise helps some people try lifting weights, running or yoga. Diet helps. Trying new things helps.

Hi, I am feeling better. I recently got approved after more than a year of waiting so things are finally starting to look up. One of the reasons I was depressed is because I'm 24 and still hold a minimum wage job so now I'm gonna start looking for something better haha
