Hey guys,

I have been reading past post about this topic and I'm trying to get some more opinions.

What is the best way to check your credit score for free? Also, what credit cards would you guys recommend applying for? I have had a BOA credit card for a year now. I have been great with payments and I'm thinking of applying for another card after checking my credit score. I am a college student and need something that would help me build my credit for when I need to move out and rent a place during nursing school.

Thanks! Hope I'm not bugging people with more credit questions, haha.

Free credit score I would go with Credit Karma it's the closest a to your Credit Score you will get free. Experian offers your credit score for $1 first week. You can cancel your subscription after that.

As for your next credit card I would suggest Discover. It has been a great CC for people just getting their SSN like us Dreamers. I have Disover and I love it, it's amazing. They do have a referral bonus, if you would like to check Discover out.

Referral bonus of $50 for bot you and I. Lmk and ill send you a referral link GREAT benefits and 0% APR for the first 18 months

Are you referring to the Discover Student card? I'm not a college student and don't qualify for the Student card but have heard that it's difficult to get the Discover It card.

I've heard that its difficult too. Now is it difficult because we need a good credit score or because of our non resident status and such? Thanks!!

The referral link i posted is NOT for the Student Discover card. Its for the Discover It card. I have the Discover IT card it is not for Students.

I don't know how hard it is to get the card, it was the FIRST card I applied for when I got my SNN. My credit score was not even an existing number at that point when I applied.

Discover has been letting dreamers get their first CC, from what I have heard in this site reading forums.

My Credit Score is 720 right now BECAUSE of Discover. I have the Discover IT card NOT for students. I my credit score didn't even exist before I applied for the card. The referral works for the Discover IT card.

Your welcome
