I think it is ridiculous that on official USCIS website they say EAD extension is possible, and then we find out no such thing exists.

I'm going to report this with the NILC and see what they can do. It's ridiculous that the USCIS are falsely claiming that they will send automatic renewals for those cases that they are not able to process in time.

I just emailed NILC. We should all do that.

wait what?

I think it has to be at least 120 days for them to do that and they do say, they MAY

Was this proven to not be true?

I have no problem with the 120 days requirement. So far anyone who has made an infopass appointment (I am only going by other peoples experience) has been told they no longer give out EAD extensions. If that is true then why publish on the official USCIS website that this is still a possibility?

Thanks for the info, mine expired 9/17/14 and I'm still waiting. I have an infopass appointment next Friday but from the several times I've called uscis it doesn't seem like a temporary extension is even possible.
Also, the 120 day rule is impossible for some of us to have met. The application for renewal was release around June 5th, I would have had to apply for renewal on 5/20/14 which was impossible.

I have not spoken to a level 2 rep. I also had problems trying to get an appointment for a few days getting that same message you are getting, then one random day that i tried again there happened to be 2 slots open. I guess you just have to keep trying, I couldn't find another way to do it.
