I am sorry to hear that, prp134. I do think that what they did was wrong... But look at it this way: maybe the person in charge, the person that made the decision wasn't very familiar with the whole EAD process. Contact them and see if they can reinstate you back in the system. It was indeed only 2 days. Good luck and I hope everything works out!

Just out of curiosity, did the employers ask for your EAD or did you guys/girls voluntarily showed it when you guys/girls initially got hired? I think my current employer wouldn't have asked for it if I wouldn't have voluntarily showed it to them.

I'm thinking of just showing my social security card and license/ID next time when I get hired for another job. Hopefully they won't ask an EAD.

Has anybody tried this??

They will ask for EAD because your SSN card has " "VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION." And the only way you get authorization from DHS is having a Valid EAD card.

Omg I'm so nervous now. Hopefully I will get my renewed EAD prior to my expiration date so I can show it to my company's HR otherwise they might have to fire me.

Why the immigration process is taking so long???? Is this part of the Republicans doing? I don't wanna lose my job because of this issue!!!!
