People with expired EADs...

My EAD expired this weekend and my renewal is still under initial review.
Is anyone else that expired still waiting for an approval?
My application is being processed at the Texas Service Center. This is a very frustrating situation...

Have you contacted Ombudsman?

Yeah, I did. I just got a response saying they're looking into it. I also contacted my congressman. I just don't know what's taking so long. I never left the country or get into any trouble.

I noticed that. Did you ask to speak with a level 2 rep? And try to contact Ombudsman.

Not necessarily getting approved faster, but getting attention brought to your case.

No they just keep saying I gotta wait 6 months. I told them I was going to lose my job and basically said "tough luck". Who's ombudsman?

Ombudsman is an office that whose sole purpose is to resolve issues between USCIS and applicants. Fill out the form and see if that does anything. My sister plans to fill it out if she does not get an approval by 12/1 since she expires on 12/14.

And when you call USCIS, tell the Customer Service Rep you would like to talk to a supervisor or a Level 2 Representative. You will get what you can find on the USCIS website from the initial person.
