i told my employer that i might have to quit due to me taking too long to send mine in and the elapsed time before i hear back about being approved or not. he had no clue i was in this situation and hes been really cool about it. told me that he wants to help and told me to look into the work sponsorship details.

Why did alot of application went to Nebraska when we sent it to Texas service center. It seems like most of application went there.....I just want mine to be approve!!!! ex date 04/10

So, my timeline as follows:
Renewal sent to Dallas Lockbox
Renewal received: Dec 10
Routed to Nebraska Service Center
Biometrics: Jan 19
Approval: Pending
Expire: March 13 (what a way to start Spring Break)
Case Status still on "My Case Has Been Received"

Contacted Congressman two weeks ago - can't expedite
Submitted Ombudsmen request last week - no response

Wouldn't be so bad if license didn't expire along with EAD. Can't get an ID without a valid EAD either.

Feel like I'm in a police state now. Can't drive, can't even buy a bottle of wine for dinner after tomorrow, can't technically prove my identity for anything.

I got Approved Today!!!!!!

Couple of things I did that I think helped me get approve… Called Congress man 3 weeks after I did my bio…..USCIS told congress person that I’m still in time frame and they cannot expedite my case, however they did say that they received my biometric.
I called USCIS yesterday and asked to speak to level 2 he was super nice…..I literally cried over the phone for 5 min I was very emotional and could not afford to lose my job…..he said he will put in a request to expedite, but not sure if they will grant it. He said I will hear something in writing in 5 days I was very sad and said okay......
Today I was talking to my hubby he said why don’t you just check your status….I check and woooohoooo It says Card order to produced…….I couldn’t believe it so I checked it over and over again making sure I entered the correct case #....I’m so crazy that I even got my paper receipt number and checked again before writing this…lol…….I did not receive any text or e-mail even though I was signed up for it.
Mine expires on 04/10/2015
Now the question is will it be for 2years or 3 years

This is f'n retarded. Tired of all this inconsistent BS.

So I gave up on checking that stupid trackingn number. My employer said I got two weeks to come up with something. So basically I'm still working with an expired permit. This company is real good to me. I just gave up. And I'll just wait till I see something in the mail

Wait so you got approved but you have not got your card yet?

I notified my managers, they are being cool about it. They said if I don't receive the approval by the exp date, to give them the receipt that it's processing/pending. And they will speak with HR if any problem arise.
