People without DACAx or DAPA don't even have a f***ing thread to hang onto and THAT is the point of the article.

Unless you've been living under a rock, you'd have seen that this administration continues to deport ppl who are eligible for DACA/DAPA.
President Obama is the one who issued DACA and DAPA not your APA asshole of a judge Hanen. I don't understand why you think Im against DACAx and DAPA. I've been waiting for the DREAM act since the first time I've read of it, and CIR even before I learned how to read. Besides this has nothing to do with me, the political climate is what determines the fate of DACA, DACAx, DAPA, Dream Act, or CIR. Grow up, everyone can be a critic but the ones who change things are the ones who are actually doing something. Legally speaking the version of APA in a general policy change has got to be a joke. How long do you think the process of rule making take in this partisan world?

Quote:
Under the Administrative Procedures Act (APA), a federal agency must first publish a substantive rule in “proposed” (draft) form and the public must be given 30 days to comment before the regulation is finally adopted. The Administration’s refusal to issue DAPA/DACA as a DHS “regulation” has negative legal and practical consequences for millions of potential applicants.
This to me smells like bull.

This is what actually happens.

The way I read your thoughts is your empathy for those lacking the protection of EADs and DACA is lacking. You keep bringing about "politics this and politics that" when it's quite obvious that doing the right thing has nothing to do with politics and everything about principle; and even more so doing it when it's unpopular.

Really, try practicing more empathy in your life; you never know when you'll be in need of it. I have nothing more to say to you.

Look I don't know you or pretend to know your life situation. However, what this article proposes Obama to do is waste years in review especially since Republicans would do anything in their power to stop this. Republicans can't even agree on the next DOJ attorney, do you think congress is going to be as kind to DAPA or DACA when congressional review happens. You are either being naive or malicious in saying that is the way to go.

Texas' case is frivolous by nature since it was already decided with Mississippi's erroneous claim of injury. Deferred action falls in line to prosecution discretion, so its an unreviewable general policy (that is a good thing if you hate politics). If you want to take Hanen's side then you are putting us on the pits of politics again. Im tired of politics as many other people in this thread but you can't ignore the big ELEPHANT in the room.

If Hillary doesn't get elected, none of this shit matters. DAPA (if it even gets to implementation), and most likely DACA, will be terminated because the republicans' pathetic minds will tout they're doing it for broader immigration reform; which of course means they will take care of the border and other issues first, which results in YEARS before they even introduce a bill to legalize us.

And I don't have high hopes for them to even pass that bill. It's already clear right now what would happen. Republicans will try to create a group of second-class residents, while Democrats will reject that shit because it's not real citizenship.

I don't sleep well these days.

Every republican candidates solution lately has been, remove DACA and work towards a CIR! =)

We thought Jeb Bush would protect DACA if he got elected but then when asked about it, his idea was to remove it and push for a CIR, with the republicans controlling both the house and senate, a CIR is never happening

+1

And yet some people in this forum think a Republican is a good idea.

Anything that removes DACA to push for CIR is coded language for increased border security (even though the border has never been more secure) and increase in deportations. Don't be fooled.

Anybody, much less anybody who is undocumented who believes that is certifiably insane.
