So good news everyone! I just received my AP document in the mail today! I received two copies of the document. If anyone who has already left the country with AP and came back, can you re-tell your re-entry at the airport/border experience? I've read in different forums that the process varied at different ports of entry, such as border patrol stamping both documents and keeping one, or making a copy and giving back both stamped ones, or the home country keeping an original or a copy. If you could tell your experience that would be great!

So my approved travel dates are from September 2015 to February 2016- a little less than 5 months. I had my lawyer ask on the application for October 1-31. (I think) So they gave me way more time than I requested. Approval time was exactly one month from time of application submission.

Now I'm off to buy my plane tickets!

Tomorrow is the AOS interview at 10:30 am in los angeles for my husbands greencard through marriage.

Finally, after DACA, DACA renewal, and AP traveling to mexico and back. I have butterflies in my stomach, tomorrow is an important day.

Good luck tomorrow! I'm sure everything will go smoothly! Hopefully. I can't wait to read your experience.. My husband and I will be in that same place next year, sooner than later.

WE WERE APPROVED! MY HUSBAND IS NOW A U.S. RESIDENT AFTER SO MANY YEARS!

Here is our story/timeline:

My husband was brought here when he was 6, he is about to turn 31 next month.

We got married in 2008 so this November will be 7 years married.

10/2012 we applied for his DACA and was approved
3/31/2014 My Husband Sent I-131 for advanced parole to visit sick grandma
4/2014 We Renewed his DACA before it expired
8/22/2014 Advanced parole was approved (Took almost 5 months to be approved with given only 2 weeks to travel)
9/5/2014 - Traveled to Mexico with AP (flew out of LAX and returned driving through the Tijuana border.
11/18/2014 Applied for Visa (I-130) & adjustment of status based on marriage (I-485)
His Biometrics appt letter only took about a month & half to get
3/22/2015 Received Letter with interview date and time
4/23/2015 our interview in los angeles, ca

This is what happened at our interview:

Our appointment was in LOS ANGELES, CA at 10:30 am.
We went through security at around 9:30am, there was a food and drink stand inside so we grabbed something and waited until 10am. We then took elevators to the 6th floor where we checked in at a window in the room# the letter provided, they held onto our letter and sent us to a different waiting room down the hall to wait. We waited in the waiting room until 11:30am before they called us. We were getting nervous because the agents we saw coming out to grabbed the couples before us were all so serious and some were rude when they called the people in. We were then called by An Asian agent that looked nice, so we were a little relieved.

Once in his office, he left the door open, he told us to remain standing and he swore us in. Once sitted he asked for both our ID's and passports, he had a BIG folder full of papers which was my husband entire care from the begginning including his first DACA documents. He started asking me questions then my husbands questions but I couldnt answer the questions being asked to my husband, and he couldnt answer the question being asked to me. Some of the questions asked were:

What is my full name (asked to my husband)
What is my Husbands full name (Asked to me)
Where did I work, what do i do, how long have i been there? (asked to my husband)
Where did my husband work, how long and what does he do there (asked to me)
What are each of our parents names and what do they do
Why don't we have kids yet
When was my husbands first illegal entrance, how and who did he come with
When was my husbands last entrance (our advanced parole)

A couple questions we couldn't remember the dates and the agent was rude making the comment" you forgot already, how could you forget it, you don't remember?" We were getting nervous it wasn't going so good. He didn't even look at any of the 3 photo albums I took and he said I sent in and brought more stuff then I needed to which annoyed him I guess.

The entire interview was about 25 minutes. After he said he needs to review the case and we will get an answer by mail, he gave us a paper with a box checkmarked that our case is being held for review.

We left not feeling so well, but we did our best. Within 2 hours our case status online said " our card has been ordered" we were sooooo excited!!!!

Then this morning the case status online says:
"Welcome notice was mailed, on April 22,2015 we registered your permanent residence status and mailed you a welcome letter. Your permanent residence card should arrive by June 21,2015"

All these years it is finally over!! I definitely recomend using Advanced parole to clear EWI and adjust status through marriage!

Hey fellow dreamers! I haven't been keeping up with these threads in a long time and I just wanted to start up this thread again. Update since my last posting:

-got AP approval
-got tickets!

Now I can see my family and my ailing grandmother...

If you read prior replies to this thread you can see how it worked out for others re-entering the country after leaving with AP. These success stories give me hope and courage in these next few months that everything goes smoothly at CBP and I can finally live my life to the fullest.

I wanted to open up this thread again for everyone to share their stories whether it's about DACA or AP. I personally never told anyone about my undocumented status and I feel like everyone relaying their individual stories helps to relieve some stress that come along with growing up in a country and claiming it your's even when it does not claim you.

Good luck and hugs to all...

I had my AOS interview on 8-5-2015, a week ago. , I applied for advance paroled last year in September 2014, got it approve on 12-5-14 with only 1 month of travel time to Mexico, went to Mexico for 5 days in January 2015, applied for AOS in March. Received appointment letter last month in July

Current status- eagerly waiting to receive an answer through the mail, I was one of those that didn't get a decision on the spot.
But God willing soon Iget the decision I want.
