I just watched the news and it says that 3 year work permits have to be turned in to USCIS. I had no idea about this. I received mine December 8th, 2014 valid for 3 years. I never received a letter from USCIS about returning my work permit. Anyone knows if I have to send mine in?

The only people that had to return their EAD were the ones who were approved after 2/16/2015 and got a 3 year EAD

Everyboday that got approved before this date and got this 3 year EAD good for you lucky no need to return and you are protected for 3 years

Basically this. We're kind of lucky we're able to keep our 3 year EAD's anyone who received a 3 year EAD after 2/16/2015 will get a letter and possibly a visit from a USCIS representative asking for the EAD.

I saw the news too.
I was approved on December 8, 2014 for my EAD.
I got it for three years as well.
My mom keeps insisting that I have to return mine, but I haven't received anything from USCIS.

Because USCIS started giving 3year EAD as part of the DACA/DAPA expansion and a Federal Jugde stopped it from coming into effect on02/16/2015

So after the court rulling to delay the implementation of the expansion USCIS continue to produce 3 year EAD while their systems update.

These little group of people estimated in the 100,000 are the ones getting letters and calls to return the 3 year EAD for a 2 year EAD

id return it just to be safe. Just read an article and apparently federal immigration officers are going to start visiting people that got the 3 years. It says that if you dont return it by july 17th, your daca will be terminated. Don't know if dates have to do with anything but id return it just to be safe.

Thanks for the info. That sucks for people that got it after 2/16/15. I got my 3 year renewal on 1/06/15.
