Hi everyone! I just found this forum and was reading the successful stories using AP, it's very encouraging!

I have a question, I was approved for DACA and I want to apply for AP. One of my aunts has been very sick and would like to see her but I really haven't read of people being approved for AP to visit an ailing aunt or uncle, is that possible? She is the closest family I have out of the states. My husband is a USC and we have a 6 month old baby, I don't know if that matters. I do plan to file for AOS, however I would like to get AP first since I came to the US EWI when I was 9 years old and would like to clear that first. Has anyone had this situation or something similar? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I know of people who have applied to see aunts. USCIS doesn't seem that picky about the relative in question, as long as it is a relative. My own guess being that they are perfectly aware of the loophole opened by Arrabally and they look the other way while we squeeze through it.

Nothing stops you from trying to apply, worst case scenario they reject your reason and you've wasted the application fee.

Thanks Demise! Yes, you are right. I will apply ASAP
From what I've heard/read I need to file form I-131, $360, copy of EAD, copy of DACA approval letter, a letter from my aunt's doctor, birth certificates showing relationship and they have to be translated. Do they need to be notarized and do they have to be the originals or can they be copies?

I'm daca applicant with employment card, recently AP approved 6/25/2015, I'm nervous and excited at the same time. That statement on the AP paper "not guarantee re-enter" makes me nervous. My background is clear never got into trouble or order removAl.
I'm planning leaving to Mexico 7/8/15
Has anyone cross back to US thru Tijuana or mAybe Mexicali ? My return will be thru land in one of those two entry. If u do any experience on returning to US?
I was thinking flying in to US sounds more complicated from I see in the posts.

Any advise.

Thank you

No, you're fine. Your AP only matters while you're abroad.
