This is so cool! I've been married for 2 years now, however I am afraid of the horror stories of applying for advanced parole and not being able to return. Would you suggest I go see a lawyer? Or just apply for advanced parole myself.

That would depend on how confident you believe in your ability to be approved for AP. Still, most of the stories I have seen here have been successful because they have read up the requirements about what AP require and knew to abide by its conditions.

Hey what's up,
I personally got a lawyer for my advance parole, even though I could of done it myself. I wanted to personally have a lawyer to have my case just in case things went bad when I was coming in. It all comes down to if you want to take that risk, I would personally get a lawyer just so I can have that peace in mind. If you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask.

Good luck!

I went to my interview on March 17th 2016 and was approve the same day. I got my "Welcome to the US" letter on the 22nd of March and my Residency card 2 days later. SO everything was pretty fast.

I wonder how many more dreamers have done this. I will try as soon as i get married. If there are more dreamers that did this, did you hire a lawyer or did it on your own?

Well 5 years later we got married, and this is how it all started. We had been dating since 2008 and then DACA came along and changed many lives and we are all blessed for getting it. I'm going to leave out all the cute parts out and tell you how the process went, I got married at the end of August 2015, in September 1st I left to Mexico to visit my grandma using the Advance Parole. On the 17th of September I came back to the United States through Texas on a plane. The process at the airport and immigration was so easy and they didn't give me a hard time. I applied for my residency on November 28th 2015 and went to biometrics and my last Immigration interview was on March 17, 2015. I was very nervous but I felt very good because everything was legit and I didn't have nothing to hide, and personally I feel like not only I am a good person, but a lot of us are. I just checked my Case Status and they said that my Conditional Residency card has been shipped out. I am very blessed and I have worked so hard for everything I have and what I have accomplished. I wish nothing but the best to all of us. Ya have any questions just post them

Could you describe your AP process a little bit more in detail, things like what they asked you in the airport, what documents you had and etc.

I am planning on doing it this weekend and I am freaking out.
