Who got an engineering job?

Hello everyone,

I wanted ask everybody here who has an engineering job, what company they work in?

After interning at Intel, I got a full time job offer but they rescinded it because their policy is to hire only people that can obtain permanent right to work in the US. You can read the response I got from them here:

Anyways, I want to ask which companies you guys work in, so I can avoid this type of future situation when applying for other jobs. I don't want to end up late in the process of being hired and then find out that they will not hire me.

I am a Solutions Engineer for Intel in the OC area.

I'm a full stack web engineer at a renowned entrepreneurial publisher in the OC, just down the street from John Wayne airport.

Yes, that's kind sad for me. There are others on this forum working at Intel who had no issues.

That's really unfortunate and sorry. In my exp. it's always better to not specify the details on things like this, I've been playing off as just a generic 'legal work permit' etc. if I get questioned, but I think it comes down to the person dealing with your specific case and how anal they get.

I'd also like to know this. About to graduate with a CS degree, and I'm worried about my full time job prospects even though I go to a top 10 CS college and I have 2 tech internships under my belt. I have heard that it is rough for people in our situation to get a full time offer.

G.....E, same issue as you. Had to fight it and eventually it went well. I'm an EE.

I'm over at Microsoft. They're pretty flexible and didn't ask many questions, only for you to fill out a form with your SSN, etc.
