Do you guys think it's worth to go see a lawyer? I called my local attorney and was told he will charge me $100 for consultation.

Can he be any help?

It's probably stuck on background check too.. no other explanation! Has your job asked you for your new work permit?

I called USCIS again, and an agent let it slip that approvals are out of order because they have to wait for your background check to complete. There is something weird going on regarding the background checks I think.

No. Lawyers are clueless and have no special ability that you do not have. They will tell you the same thing, schedule infopass, file obudsman, talk to tier 2 uscis rep, file inquiry, file congressional inquiry through your state congressman.

Hi guys, I wanted to contribute my timeline for the renewal.

5/23/2016 - application received by USCIS
6/21/2016 - Biometrics completed
8/10/2016 - email notification that DACA case was approved

9/01/2016 - EAD expires

--
My renewal was very straight forward; I did not leave the country or get into any trouble with the law. I believe Nebraska was where my case was routed to.

HR did ask for a new EAD and said that I would be required to take an unpaid leave of absence if my renewal did not come in time.

Good luck everyone.

Thanks,
Do you know why do they need hardship examples? DACA is not based on hardship. If it is to get it expedited, I thought there was no such a thing for DACA. Can you share more about your experience with the NILC?
