I think it'll be too late to schedule an appointment for you, so you might be waiting in line for a long while. But I don't foresee your DL expiring before you can get a renewal. Good luck!

My case is still pending (expire 8/17), but I got a call from a USCIS officer today based on a message I'd left them earlier this week. To say I was shocked to get a call from them on a Saturday is an understatement. She said an "expedited request" was entered for my case and that I should hear back from NSC by Monday or Tuesday. Here's to hoping I can get approved soon.
