I feel like since my HR department uses everify they shouldn't need the card... BUT they told me before my leave of absence that they need the physical card to come back #eyeroll

Wow. I don't even think they checked my physical card the first time. I just wrote the information down Ina piece of paper. In any case, I hope the cards arrive soon.

I think temporarily, they might take it. As I said, it dependa on your employer/HR.
Just try, couldn't hurt. 😊

In that case, I think they're most likely going to accept the letter while you wait. Since you didn't even need fhe card last time.

Same here. I've been expecting it in the mail for a week now.

I'm so confused. My CA driver's license shows an expiration date of 2019, and my EAD expires this Sunday. Do I need to get an AB60 license now??

Can I still use my current DL to fly?

No, you do not. If your drivers license expires in that year then it is perfectly valid. I am sure you can still use it to fly.

I lot of employers do not keep track. On my previous renewal my previous company never asked for the new card. They never asked for anything. Through this madness I kept wondering why I left that place.

Same here but I'm going to feel bad when it does arrive and if they notice there's been a lapse in my employment authorization. I'm a couple days to expiring so I'm hoping I hear something next week even if I won't have the physical card.

Yeah, it's REALLY up to the employer/HR cause sometimes the letter or providing like a screenshot of approval is enough. They can even have you keep working even after you tell them you're expired. It was my lawyer's advise to leave while the renewal is pending to cover bases.
