Same! I love how they think they don't have a job because we're here. I'm a nurse, and I see openings all over the country all the time. All they have to do is go to school and get the degree. Somehow I know even if they knew this, their lack of a job would still somehow be my fault.

Hey fellow nurse here! There weren't that many of us dreamers with RN degree back in the days, I am sure there's more now with DACA. But still glad to hear about another RN! I am on leave of absence now with expired EAD but work as a rapid response nurse in major teaching hospital in california!

Applied 6/16/16
Biometrics scheduled 7/7, early walk in 6/27
Approval ???
Expire 10/17

What's your timeline? I feel like things are being done in groups. The people caught in the system glitch before mid May seem to be one batch they're working through. The people after the glitch are another group, who for the most part seem to be experiencing usual processing times. I've seen some early June applicants who have been approved already. Then there's that weird batch in August who got approved immediately after biometrics. The lucky bunch!

I will be 105 days pending at the end of this month, and I already have a Infopass appointment set up for then. I don't know how much it will help, but it's worth a try.

Nice! I actually got my degree literally a couple of months before DACA was announced, so it all felt like it was meant to be. I'm a travel NICU nurse, in Seattle now. I'm supposed to start in Honolulu at the end of October, but will likely not make it out if I'm not approved. I'll lose that job, but when approved can look for another contract elsewhere.

What's your timeline? Have you taken any actions to further your case along?

Application received 6/8/2016
Biometrics: 6/28/2016

I will hit 105 days next Wednesday and I will be calling them if I don't hear anything. I hope we hear something soon. For all of us too.

Ahh travel nursing, so much fun! Well, if you want to travel in California try Stanford, it's pretty awesome here. Pay is awesome and work is pretty chill. But dang Honolulu... that'd be amazing!

Timeline
applied May 16
Bio June 9
Expired Sept 4th
Still waiting and on leave of absence...

I did NILC and IRLC to flag and escalate this week. Just emailed senator/ congressman so we'll see if they contact me back but I heard they don't do much for you... I am not convinced any of this will help.

My manager said she wouldn't fire me but HR may not have a choice. She may just need to rehire me, we'll see... I am really hoping it doesn't come to that. It sucks because I can't even just go on a vacation and relax!!!!

I hope I get to work at Lucile Packard some day, I've heard great things!

I am also wondering if my agency will even realize I'm about to expire. No one has asked, but it is still a month out. I've read on this board that you can continue to work as long as no one tells you not to. Hopefully I'll be that lucky in the case that I expire.

I just know next week will have a lot more approvals, specially for those who have been waiting past the expected time range. Keep your head up, guys!
