I was finally approved!! my status changed only on the I-765 application Thursday morning, but the notification stated that it was approved on Wednesday (oct 12th) . DACA application still shows under review, which I'm expecting to change soon. I wasn't able to open up the timeline spreadsheet on my phone for some reason but my timeline is below. I've been off work almost 3.5 weeks, be patient guys!

Received: May 13th
Biometrics: June 2nd
Expired: Sept 16th
EAD approved: Oct 12th
DACA

Only received email notification.

LOL! The lady seemed a little sympathetic but yeah she was no help.

Application received: 05/04/2016
Biometrics: 6/29/2016
Expired: 6/05/2016
Approval: not soon enough

I've updated my signature to show my timeline. I tried doing the same on the spreadsheet but I didn't want to mess it up.

Yeah, I hope so too. Unfortunately for me it's going to be too late as I have been offered a job but will be rescinded next week if I don't have my EAD by then.

I have heard that you can't renew your license without a document that shows that you are legally present in the US, unfortunately. Unless you were grandfathered and don't have your license because of DACA, like me. I still had a license when they changed the laws that say we can't have licenses so I am still able to renew my license like everyone else and I can renew it for 8 years not just 2. That's because I am not required to show any documentation that shows I am legal. I was very lucky as far as having a license but I have been very unlucky with the DACA process.

It's my understanding that it'll show that you ARE able to work. You can E-Verify yourself on the USCIS page. Once you confirm you are able to work you can tell HR that you are now legally able to work but that your card is still on the way. They may let you work without your EAD.

when I called they said they're working and april 15 applicants. but I can see that we have May's approval already in here.

Is anyone still receiving USC I S official approval texts ? Not sure if it's even worth it staring at the phone every few hours.

You probably spoke with a T1 and they are going by the USCIS processing times on their site. Speak with a T2 they are somewhat more informed with what's going on.

When I was approved I received no texts, no emails...Better to check USCIS case tracker or ELIS
