I don't mean to sound like I'm sucking up to Trump but these guys are right. I think that the path ahead for us needs to be one of reaching out to the future administration, not encourage or participate in shit like "campus cry-ins" ( when I first heard of those I thought they were a joke, absolutely pathetic.)

I think we really need to come together, get over our pride, and reach out to administration officials. This will sound brutal, but remember we're DACA recipients, we did nothing wrong, we can even compromise on how to strengthen immigration enforcement and see if they can give us something permanent if they get rid of DACA.

Thank you for this post and thread! I have been saying this and holding this opinion for the past year or so myself. Looking at the developments lately, I am actually VERY optimistic looking at some names floating around for Trump's cabinet positions especially DHS. Make no mistake. There is still cause of alarm because I heard names like KOBACH, SESSIONS, ARPAIO. But my gut feeling is that Trump will not get swayed by these losers pushing their own agendas. We have a very interesting presidency coming up. Another thing is, something tells me this Obama guy is going to be working over time this next couple months to get into the business man's head. Trump used to say, "We will replace Obamacare" Now he is saying "We will either amend, replace, or repeal Obamacare!" This is a huge back step!

I do not think that is what Trump said.

But yeah Trump will look into it.

I totally agree with that. I was really afraid on Tuesday night and all of Wednesday. But now, as I have mentioned in other posts, it is likely that he will cancel DACA but he might allow us to keep our permits until they expire.

I have been following the news and I found an interesting article on NBCNews http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2016...ocates-n682651

Read the whole article, and pay attention to the last 3 paragraphs. I believe that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Stay positive, continue working, and let's hope for the best. I'm sure that we will know more about his plans in the coming weeks and months.

Agreed.

Tuesday night onto Wednesday were bad moments. But now after talking to several people on the chat and here, I have hope.
