Still, bridge act isn't really great. Would be nice if they would at least give us 245(i) coverage or something...
Yup , what happens after 3 years?

In three years we become the #1 topic for the 2020 elections. I seem to remember Obama pulling a fast one around re-election time. Maybe Trump (or Pence if Trump has been impeached by then) might want to think about throwing us a bone, if only to take that political capital away from the left.

This will pass the senate and hopefully house! This is a great way for republicans to start making inroads into the Latino and millenial votes! Do they really want to be responsible for what will happen to us if this protection is stripped away from us? Especially since obama passed it due to their inaction. Now it's time for them to shut up and do their job so a president doesn't have to "overstep" his powers.

Wasn't it said that the BRIDGE Act doesn't offer renewals though? So this is indeed a downgrade from DACA.

It was drafted right when (or I think before even) Trump got into office so this was actually meant to temporarily save us until his term ends, even though it's only for 3 years.

Oh and don't forget, when they first introduced it, they gave the vibe that this is only until Congress acts on a DACA replacement.

Which one is that?

I only know:

H.R.3698 - Military Enlistment Opportunity Act

&

H.R.5533 - Recognizing American Children Act

... neither of them got any new cosponsers from 2017

That is if he doesn't win the re-election

I'm sure they will add the availability to vote for a renewal just like TPS?
