You might want to read more upon it.

There are different jobs within the different branches, some of which need security clearance. This has nothing to do with active or reserve. At the moment, DACA applicants can only apply via MAVNI. (Actually, not really - the program is in review; I don't remember if it's still open to health care professionals or not).

So yeah, you don't have to be an infantry dude. It's actually a small part of the whole armed forces.
