By doing that, they have been able to detain people because they simply get scared and give themselves away. As much as I want to believe they are only here for specific people, it make me wonder if they just want to take as many as they can. I was thinking of running away to CA but it sounds like no place is safe from ICE right now...
That will be the norm in this administration. ICE agents racially profiling people in the streets and harassing them. That will lead to unjustified force, which is at the top of my concerns list, specially when you hear Trump saying torture works. The abuse of power will trigger an increase of injustice throughout the nation, wrongly prosecuting innocent people.

They wouldn't be able to go after people in LA though because it is a sanctuary city right?

Sanctuary cities pretty much order their police forces to not comply with any federal ruling or order that requires them to report non-criminal undocumented immigrants for deportation. It doesn't mean that ICE can't conduct raids on whomever they freaking feel like it because federal law supersedes state or local authorities.
