Doesn't matter if you applied last year or this year they can run background checks on you anytime during the AOS process. My point is if you have ever violated immigration law GET A LAWYER! I didn't get a lawyer because I have never violated immigration law and didn't have criminal history or immigration history and my case was pretty straightforward. I'm just sharing what happened during my interview today.

My interview was last week and the IO only had one thick packet. He didn't flip through the entire thing, only the top half which was my AOS file. He had stickie notes throughout, didn't get to read what was on them but I'm assuming the bottom half of the packet was all DACA/AP related.

Edit: FWIW I've been in the US since 2yo, and still had only one file/packet.

LOL Venus, I'm happy for you, but you're scaring me a little bit!

I gotta talk to my lawyer soon.

Mine only had one packet as well... I know my first DACA application/evidences had tons of pages... so I assume that's what it was.

I just want to add that it is not only during the AOS process, USCIS can run checks after on any A-file after approval as well.

I did use them. I have read you are forgiven if you do AOS via marriage, I heard you are forgiven for working illegally and also for fake documents.
USCIS forgives past illegal employment, but fraudulent documents better not include any claim to US citizenship or another's identification....death knell!!!

I know my lawyer put in my "ssn" number on my first DACA form. He was adamant that it needed to be included so it went.

Since then I have filled it up just with MY SSN given with DACA. I am just freaking out now that this might be an issue.

Never claimed to be a USC nor did I use anyone else's identity.

It didn't have to be included, but shouldn't be an issue either. You can explain what the issue is at the adjustment interview.
