there are people who wait 2 years for green card to 25 years for a green card. waiting time depends on what visa you apply for and if there are quotas applied to it therefore i do not complain about such a long waiting time. it depends on what you can do for the country and those laws are similar in almost every country. countries cannot accept tens of millions of people in just a single year because there are limited resources and space that's why we have quotas for visas hence the long waiting time.
