No one is asking him to stay in the US either. In my opinion people should HAVE to enlist to earn USC. The few exceptions are women and the physically/mentally differently able.

You have to earn it through blood, for you to truly value it.

I agree with earning their way and joining the army .. but I am against a war with someone who hasn't hurt me, my family or America... I was in Jrotc and was giving a scholarship of $5,000 by our sergeant major because of my excellence on the drills. Is like war on Syria why would i go?.. something like 911 I would be the first one in line.. just my two cents

Sorry, not all women are built for combat. If they can meet the male standards, they are in, otherwise they are better off staying home.

These are all valid points. However, the point isnt that they hurt you or hurt the nation. The point is that you're putting the nation before your own interests, and thus earning it thru blood and sweat.

This is a discussion board in which users are free to express their own point of views. He has every right to post whatever he feels like regardless what you think.

I personally think his opinions are fair and good while your opinons tend to lean to the extreme left of the spectrum, but then again, that's just my perception of things. One may argue otherwise since not all of us think the same, but to shun a user for their beliefs is taking it way too far.

There are many times more non-combatant jobs in the army than combatant jobs.
From physical therapy to pharmacy technician, to logistics and a bunch of other stuff.
You can be a journalist, a photographer, a graphic designer, a computer tech, network tech, cook, mechanic, electronics technician, and you could even fly Syria or other dangerous missions from the safety of a US base (see movie Eye in the Sky)...

I joined as a Biomedical Equipment Specialist under the MAVNI program and will be shipping out in October.

I haven't read these forums much lately, so if you ask me a question, be sure to let me know via PM so I get an email alert.
