wonder if those us expiring in 2018 should try our luck and apply now. The worst is that they will send back the package. The letter does not state about canceling DACA just phasing it out. The longer your work permit is valid for, the better off you are right nmow.

That's what I was thinking. I don't even care if I lose the 500 at this point for the chance of extending my work permit by more than a year.

Has anyone submitted their application about a year early?

Greg Abbott has had it in for undocumented people from day one. He paraded around his Hispanic mother in law during the election but as soon as he got power, sued Obama for DAPA and eDACA. He is also hell bent against the LGBT community. He hides behind religion and the rule of law but he is just an angry little man. I'm not sure if it's because of the tree that fell on him and left him wheelchair bound or he was like that before the accident, but I don't think he is bluffing.

I've applied 6 and a half months earlier and gotten approved. My EAD expires March 2018 and I'm gonna send my renewal this week. Even if I don't get it, at least I tried. Last time I sent my renewal, I got approved really fast like in a month. I hope same thing happens this time around.

Just finished sending my 2 democratic senators emails about this. I encourage everyone to contact their congressmen and ask them to voice support for our cause.
