I am on the same boat. I am currently two years shy of my doctorate and at this point I just care about my work permit. I hope he really thinks about this one. Today, it was really difficult getting up to work knowing that my life is on a limbo......

I would say go around them. At the end of the day, they are only activists. They aren't the ones voting on any bills. Try contacting news organizations, senators, congressman on our own?

If we can’t travel then it’s basically another DACA which is fine and all but might as well leave DACA intact. I haven’t even had DACA for 5 years and now they’re telling me I have to wait another 5 years to apply for just a residency. It’s ridiculous. By the time I finally get legalized I’m gonna be in my death bed.

So yes I WILL be wanting to at least travel and see the world and I don’t care if I’m asking for too much because I’m sick and tired of not saying anything just taking whatever they hand out.

We understand that. But, UWD is very influential, and I am sure other citizens think UWD represents all of our views. Many of the dreamers who do get media attention are surrogates of UWD, meaning that they have to preach the policies UWD is trying to advance. This is VERY DANGEROUS if you ask me.

ANY bill/solution that is proposed by Republicans..expect UWD to oppose it and they will also push Democrats to oppose it. They are pushing for "CITIZENSHIP FOR ALL IMMEDIATELY". What a fucking joke. Never thought it would come down to this..UWD and Democrats being a thorn and obstacle towards a potential solution for us. I'd love to take a look at the leaders at UWD and see how many are actually undocumented. Would love to see their financials also. I don't think they are fully rooting for a solution because if the problem is solved, they go out of business and lose their influence. We've got to become more smart and start circumventing and go around UWD and contact the Congressmen directly.

They are a huge thorn and they preach idealistic garbage that is completely detached from the reality of politics. YOU NEED TO COMPROMISE TO GET STUFF DONE IN POLITICS, PLAIN AND SIMPLE.
