TIRRC is totally credible, and I am not sure if they have insider guidelines as to how this will work. Bummer if true, because I expire in November and I was going to apply this week. I'll post an update if I find out anything else.

RIP any kind of immigration reform for us. That judge completely f***ed us. There was sense of urgency to get immigration reform for dreamers, now there isn't, won't get anything done for another year or two.

Fed Appeals court can grant stay any day.

There is a pending emergency.

Q50: Can I file a renewal request outside the recommended filing period of 150 days to 120 days before my current DACA expires?

A50: USCIS strongly encourages you to file your renewal request within the recommended 150-120 day filing period to minimize the possibility that your current period of DACA will expire before you receive a decision on your renewal request. Requests received earlier than 150 days in advance will be accepted; however, this could result in an overlap between your current DACA and your renewal. This means your renewal period may extend for less than a full two years from the date that your current DACA period expires.
And from the current update:
If you previously received DACA and your DACA expired before Sept. 5, 2016, or your DACA was previously terminated at any time, you cannot request DACA as a renewal (because renewal requests typically must be submitted within one year of the expiration date of your last period of deferred action approved under DACA), but may nonetheless file a new initial DACA request in accordance with the Form I-821D and Form I-765 instructions. To assist USCIS with reviewing your DACA request for acceptance, if you are filing a new initial DACA request because your DACA expired before Sept. 5, 2016, or because it was terminated at any time, please list the date your prior DACA expired or was terminated on Part 1 of the Form I-821D, if available.

But in the I-821D instructions (https://www.uscis.gov/system/files_f...pdf?download=1) it says

Quote:
CAUTION: If you file this request more than 150 days prior to the expiration of your current period of deferred action,
USCIS may reject your submission and return it to you with instructions to resubmit your request closer to the expiration
date.

I think that’s the risk we should all be willing to take giving this situation. There’s no harm in trying. Also USCIS is so back logged I wouldn’t risk sending it later.

You guys tripping on the 150-180 day thing need to stop! You aren't risking anything by sending it in earlier! If it gets rejected, you'll only be losing your cost to ship your documents, you will get your entire packet back with your application fees. If you don't think it's worth getting another year or two for a $20 bet, keep that to yourself and stop spreading that fear.

In the next few days? What the hell does that mean? Smells like BS. What's their source?

Mine is expiring jan 2019.....I'm thinking should I apply now? I'm afraid in future if we have to apply they will ask in the application was your application ever rejected then we have to say YES and give reason that "we applied early and it was rejected"...I'm afraid of this....THOUGHTS????
