They crossed the Rubicon during an election year...

They will look like idiots to the base if they get nothing out of this.

That’s what's keeping me hopeful. The Democrats would look like complete idiots if they come out of this with nothing. Hopefully they hold together.

Exiting Dem Caucus meeting, Rep. Don Beyer says if there’s a deal, “I’m not hearing it in that room.”

He says Dems could still do a short-term to get a deal, but it sounds like both parties are digging in.

I am starting to think the democrats didn't think they get a shutdown so they don't know what to do next

I think that people take it for Granted that ANY DACA bill that has Democrats and Republican blessing will pass as long as it brought up for a bote , that's its a matter of time, i don't want to be rain on any ones parade, but like in 2010 we need VOTES to begin with and unfortunately
Trump-os blessing ie signature.

Very true, but this not not a stable man. He's someone who likes to be liked. The country hates him right now. A president is supposed to help unite the nation and Congress, but this President literally dismissed a bipartisan agreement. Shumer was right, the blame lies wholly on his shoulders. Something he can't stand. I believe that if Democrats can keep strong and hash out an agreement then Trump will sign it.

NEW—> statement from @SenateMajLdr spox David Popp on @JeffFlake claims that the Leader promised to bring a DACA bill to floor if a spending bill got done:
“We have made no decisions or announcements on floor consideration of border security/DACA.”
