They didn't end ACA and set a deadline for a reform. Be realistic. If they don't do anything and keep things the way it is, that mean Dreamers are deported, visa lottery and chain migration is still alive, and no wall gets built. That's lose- lose for everyone.

That is correct but that could go on for years. Passing the budget dems lose leverage and we will end up with LATTE bill

The republican's strategy has always been focused on getting all their demands while giving away as little as possible. I have said before that Goodlatte's bill is the other side's version of clean DreamAct and it will definitely not pass.
Democrats never really had strong leverage to move the deal to their favor. The fact that Trump's White House promised citizenship for 1.8 million is a victory on their part.
That statement has now raised the standards for what the lowest offer can be when it comes to DACA fix which is more the reason why Goodlattle's bill is not possible.

those limp dick mfers in DC will talk about us for weeks and weeks to come, until they get tired of us!

we're in the game now! i guess we were all just impatient (i was) that we wanted something to pass in December & January. but it is what it is, the March 5th date was the set deadline.
I'll believe it when I see it.
And don't forget: Even if something totally fair is passed by both chambers in the coming weeks, Trump can still veto it if he doesn't like it. Good luck getting 290 votes in the House.

i can live with that, i just want a vote...

idc if it passes or fail. i just want them to try.

i can move on w/ my life knowing the vote failed, rather than not trying/knowing at all.

Update: Pelosi has been dacabustering on the House floor for almost 6 hours. She goes on and on and on with endless Dreamers stories, which break my heart. I hope something good comes out of it....

You need 290 in the house and 67 in the senate to veto proof it. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

u are correct. 66%

thats why they wanna put it in the spending bill bcuz it breaks that threshold and its veto proof. No POTUS will veto a spending bill.

Doesn't it also require Ryan's culito to be grabbed by 50 Democrats? Uphill battle.
