Durbin currently on the floor -sympathetic towards dreamers and reading out polls.
4:10 ET - Cornyn now on the floor - talking about Americans are dreamers too and immigration should benefit Americans overall
4:20 ET Grassley on the floor- supports trump framework, says all senators should vote for daca citizenship and make concessions.
4:30 ET Cotton on the floor talking ending chain migration, and building a wall while pointing out citizenship for daca recipients.
4:50 ET Thom Thillis talking about the wall and it’s benefits, talking ending chain migration and reallocation visa lottery.
5:00 ET Orrin Hatch talks about changes to chain migration and legalizing daca recipients while reforming immigration system.

Voting has started
Only ted Cruz votes in the negative

Senate may have voted to move to the bill. But the Senate is not yet formally on the legislation and won’t initially be on it when they start tomorrow. We expect the Senate to formally start the immigration debate sometime tomorrow. But they are NOT on the bill yet.

But in order for amendments to be considered, they have to actually be introduced.

There are up to 30 hours of post-cloture debate available before any votes on amendments.
But with consent, we can set going much sooner.

cornyn's smirk after saying "this shouldn't be an act of futility" was worrying.

Grassley explaining his bill, basically the White House's proposal. Saying everyone needs to compromise and that Dems need not to use this as an issue for midterms.
