I agree with this. I appreciate Durbin, but I think Schumer was calling the shots here. Durbin tagged along.

I agree with this. Democrats caved on everything else; I guess Trump thought Democrats would cave on his framework, so actively sabotaged every other proposal that wasn't his.

This was the consequence of Democrats giving up their leverage.

Did you forget he also try to give you a 3 year permit and try to include our parents as well but instead got blocked by a judge because of a REPUBLICAN lawsuit?
Let's not forget that he is the deporter in Chief and has given strength to maga. DACA was a nice gesture for votes, but we will be back again in the same shit hole and Obama had that open opportunity to get things done, he even deported kids running from Central America

So what was Obama supposed to do? Ignore the laws already on the books and have a big wide open borders?

I get you’re frustration but we can’t ignore the fact that DACA put us on the map. If it wasn’t for Obama, you know that one President that doesn’t give a F about us, we honestly wouldn’t be having this conversation right now and we still would have been the FORGOTTEN working under the table with no benefits whatsoever.
I'm not contradicting myself, you are just making assumptions. I never said anywhere we were worse off, I said Obama did DACA to help himself, it wasn't about helping us.

By your logic, same could be said about trump. He had the option to end daca on day 1 like he said he would but he didn't, again not to help us but to keep us in the back pocket for wall leverage. They are the same.

#newworldorder. I mean just look at the lyrics of imagine by John Lennon. This shit is more than racial to our opposers. It’s spiritual. We need to see beyond the politics they play with our lives and analyze the big picture , unless this country is neutralized on both sides to the center there will not be progress , we are just another example of their game of chess that keeps getting put off. Our solution not buy into their game and prepare for whatever comes ahead even if it means tipping off the chess board to wonder into new terrain. #many thoughts in my head today. This ain’t what we wanted but at least the ride on the roller coaster is getting less bumpy over time.

And isn’t that what I said in the first place....

Yet you still decided into making this into one big debate
