Include home in i-765 worksheet?

hi guys, so my wife and I just bought a home back in February this year, I obviously have a mortgage and don't own it outright, should I include the price of the house under "assets " in the worksheet for renewal? thanks fam

Arent Assets things that you can immediately sell for cash? You may have a mortgage on your home, but you cannot sell it since it is not "yours" yet, therefore I think you will be fine not including it.

Yes. Include it. You have an asset. On the flip side you have a liability which is that mortgage. In the explanation section, just simply write down part of the assets you included is your house and you have a mortgage liability. Thats all. It's not going to matter but you should include it.

The assets that you're describing (Immediately sell for cash) are basically called Current Assets. You can liquidate them fast for cash but things like Houses/Cars/Machinery are also assets. They're fixed assets. A house that you own and you pay a mortgage on is yours but on the flip side you have a liability too which is that mortgage. He should include it on Form 765-WS. I include my Car which I pay an auto loan on.

Well, I never included any of my assets until I paid them off. Still here.
