Remember, Republicans still won the House in 2012 although Obama won the presidency. So people do split their votes among the two parties for the house-senate and the presidency.
The economy was supposed to doom Obama in 2012, remember what the unemployment rate was then?

And yes gridlock will continue no matter who's in office. Eventually someone will go nuclear option and dominate the opposition.

Border security conference committee member Cuellar says the sides will have to bring in “McConnell. Pelosi” to work out “little things.” Points out that President Trump “never used the word shutdown last night.”

GOP holds 52 to 47 majority in Senate, and will win back Alabama in 2020. no way DNC going to flip 4-5 seats in 2020. they only have better shot in Colorado.

One Correction "fake NATIVE AMERICAN Indian"... Although, I like her for going after corporations, I think she is doomed because of the native american indian thing. She even said that she is a native american indian when she applied for some job in Texas...

On the contrary, I think Bernie does have a good shot with a more moderate and young VP. However, I do agree with you that Biden + Beto is probably the best ticket.

Biden and Beto would definitely be a good ticket but I wouldn’t say Harris has no chance. The midterms were a good indicator of what kind of candidate democrats may back for 2020. That’s not to say she’ll win the nomination for sure tho.

There’s also John Hickenlooper who has similar appeal to Biden. From what I’ve seen, he’s trying to run a positive campaign about finding solutions and working together.

Border security conferee Dem TX Rep Cuellar on if there will be a “wall”: “You can get caught up using that word. It’s a fence. You can call it enhanced barrier...It’s a win-win if you bring in the local folks.”
