Why though? Why are you pausing your life for that?

I own a property. I am not worried at all. We are not going to get deported.

I have funds to buy property in Cali but I have not done so because of DACA. I'm getting married later this year but I will still not invest in real estate until the day I get a green card. I feel like one must have the money ready to move to like Canada or Europe quickly if it comes to that.

Unless you do something really heinous, they’ll (immigration courts) give you time to sell your assets and prepare to repatriate. Heck, people ask for continuances indefinitely and end up adjusting status. Even people on this website had final orders of removal and either now are adjusting or have already gotten green cards.

Don’t put this off. You have everything you need at your disposal. You don’t need a green card to invest in real estate

I already invest in other ways where I can take my money out tomorrow if I want to, my money is not just sitting there losing value. I just don't trust this government enough to fork over a 150k downpayment + closing fees for a place.

Hey guys, looking to purchase a home and looking for recommendations on lenders. I'm in DC Metro. Our previous home was solely in my wife's name (USC) but for this new home I would have to be on there as well as she can't qualify by herself.

Hi! I got two mortgage loans from First choice loan services to contact Ernesto Borunda at [email protected].
Others from this forum have used him too. He is so friendly and a nice person to talk to.

Has anyone here had experience with other options (private banks, credit unions, other organizations) that could finance a first time homebuyer mortgage?

Thanks so much for the help!!
I believe you need to apply for a conventional loan which is backed by private lenders.
