Get ready for COVID shit to get worse...

Just started working as an intern, and holy shit ladies and gents. We as a country are completely fucked in regards to Coronavirus. AZ, the state that I'm in now, is at 85% capacity for ICU beds, 100% capacity for ECMO, and we're overtiming ICU nurses as is statewide. And this is the state whose COVID# is increasing.

I literally sent home a man today who would've been a surefire admission because we decided the chance of him catching COVID in the hospital was worse threat than his very serious condition.

Don't be a dumbass - protect yourself, your family, and I'd do a bit of a light hoarding if possible (not toilet papers...). This shit (the so called 2nd wave when it's really 1st wave hitting dumbass states) is gonna get way worse.

Healthcare worker in Miami here, can confirm the cases are going up.

Its pretty sad. I just wish there was one coordinated federal response. It sounds like those states are at where New York was in March. The people just need to do a better job at managing this, social distancing and wearing the fucking masks. The northeast has really turned the corner on this ever since our peak in March and now we are worried about the rest of the country.

You know things are bad when Greg Abbott in Texas who has done everything he can to make his boss happy by opening things up has to go back and close bars again. You can bet things are probably far worse than they announce if he's willing to go back.

I'm in NY and still wear the mask every time i step outside. It's a habit now to me. But many people don't wear the mask.
