Unless you can't do this for reconciliation bills, in case of which - some republicans are bound to vote for the bipartisan bill even if the liberals object.
Tools at Pelosi disposal

Not a good idea. No pressure on Manchin and Sinema then.

There is no pressure because both already votes Yes for the bipartisan and it passed to the house.

Dreamers will take a back seat until the bipartisan bill is out the way

Tells me these 9 people don't want to vote for the reconciliation and the difference is 4 votes in the house. I think Pelosi's strategy is to pass both bills and won't let these 9 people vote for just one and not the other.

If Pelosi allows it we are truly fucked than. I hope she stays true to her word. Both need to be passed together.

This is when we all really need to put the pressure on

I'm struggling to see how Elizabeth Macdonough will let DACA survive.

We're already paying taxes and generating revenue.

Legalizing us will not generate any new revenue and anything of application fees / penalty will be incidental to the U.S. budget.

Sorry guys :/

The Dreamer population is larger then DACA receipients. A Dreamer is an immigrant brought to the US under a certain age illegally. There are millions in the US right now. There are roughly only 800,000 daca recipients. All Daca recipients are dreamers but not all dreamers are daca recipients.

Also since the other million dreamers arent daca recipients they cant legally work. so not paying any taxes.

EDIT: There are rougly 700,000 dreamers. The dreamer population is 1.9 million. that leaves 1.2 million dreamers not covered by DACA. If you were to legalize all of them You would be adding 1.2 million people to the tax base over 10 years. You would be effectively adding roughly the population of Maine to the tax base.
