Democrats will use her decision as a scapegoat and say “we tried”. It doesn’t surprise me though. They can’t get anything done for the American citizens let alone us who are here undocumented.

The Democrats can technically overrule her and/or fire her. But, they won't do that... especially with such a slim majority. It would just invite all sorts of political attacks from Republicans and lead to opposition even from some Democrats. And, it won't be a good precedent.

At least, it looks like they are genuinely trying to convince her. She did rule against them on the $15 minimum wage provision earlier this year as mentioned in the article, but some Democrats were not in favor of that and wanted to avoid that issue. There was no consensus. So, she actually did the Democrats a favor and give them an excuse to skirt around that politically. This time, at least when it comes to DACA, the urgency is greater. And, they won't get any political benefit by punting it further or won't likely suffer significant negative political consequences for such a provision (because it will be relatively narrow to DACA and some other immigrants). Most, if not all, Democrats are in agreement for giving legal status to DACA recipients. So, there is a little bit of hope for that.

Still, odds are highly against us... It is sad that this one individual can possibly make a decision for and against our future.

After what the GOP and Trump has done and tried to do, Dems should give a flying fuck about overruling or firing her. who gives a shit really. If Dems don’t show a pair here, they”ll very likely lose seats in midterm.

Don't worry, guyz. Our resident forum news and political analyst, Got Daca has already concluded green cards are guaranteed via the reconciliation process. We have nothing to worry about. Feel free to PM Got Daca for further details.

Her being a former Immigration Lawyer gives me hope that she will side with us.

Former immigration lawyer for ICE, not for immigrants.
