INS includes other agencies. USCIS used to be absorbed in INS too. Kuck is just trying to freak people out and take some heat off of himself if it fails (he has been hyping everyone up about getting reform done by reconciliation).

Not defending Parliamentarian's careered past, but some individuals from the service have also gone on to the private sector. Makes me wonder who was the President at the time she was a prosecutor.

Pretty sure they're doing oral arguments now, with her decision being made soon.

I just constantly refresh the search for senate parliamentarian on Twitter.

From an article I read, her ultimate decision is not expected. What likely will happen is that it will be a back-and-forth discussion of her telling what kind of language is allowed and not allowed. So, there will be multiple chances for the Democrats to revise their language. So, today is not likely the ultimate decision day.... although anything is possible.

That is my understanding as well. That is also why dems started so broad.

Hoping for the best but prepping for the worst. Good luck to us all.

Thanks for the additional info.

I'm really hoping for this to work out for us. Considering all the past disappointments, I think the biggest and most bittersweet for me would be her saying no and Congress managing to pass the reconciliation bill.

But hoping and wishing to be very, very wrong.
