245(i) would help IRs who entered without inspection, and anyone that can get some kind of immigration petition for them. Also going further 245(i) should have no date limitation attached to it. The immigration system needs a safety valve for any future undocumented population to bleed out into legal status through.

Aren't there like 3 versions of the 245i's? One prior to 1995 another version in 2000 or something like that? And they all have different clauses. I think the first one was the most forgiven, I think it even covered people who had orders of deportation or multiple entries. I wonder which version they are thinking of bringing back.
