I want to remind you: The house already passed the dream act. It's been sitting in the senate. The problem isn't the house, it's the senate where they don't have the votes.

Hold on, I thought the original text proposed had a provision that allowed people under the new parole program they’re trying to pass to travel abroad? Did that get taken out or was it a misunderstanding?

Looking at the text of the bill:

https://rules.house.gov/sites/democr...-RCP117-18.pdf

Immigration starts at page 862 - all it says on travel is:

Quote:
A) provide employment and travel authorization to such alien; and
Whether you need to apply separately for travel or it is a combo type card is unclear at the moment

Thank you! I think this may be an earlier draft though. I was browsing the bill up on the congress.gov website listing the bill as having passed the house, but I cannot find the protections and work permits section. I wonder if somebody is yet to update the text of the bill.

I guess they didn't update it yet because that text still has text for 'adjust of status' for DREAMers and no mention of parole.

Sorry I am a dreamer and I don't share that sense of entitlement. Saying that you or I deserve more than everybody else and expect people who are also are in need to sympathize with that is ridiculous. Worry about what you are getting and stop obsessing over or trying to police what someone else in need might get. We are all beggars at this pint but some are acting like they have a choice. Nothing wrong with criticizing but to say you would rather get nothing vs something sounds absurd not to mention beacause it's not good enough by your high standards nobody else deserves it either so you're hoping it fails?

Neither you nor I have any right to dictate or expect more than anyone else when everybody out here desperate AF.
Most people would say we didn't come here on our own free will but at 18 we chose to stay so tough titty.
Dreamers whining about who deserve the most handouts sound a lot like selfish entitled americans who's only claim to citizenship is because they were born here so F everybody else. There is no other word for that but a sense of selfishness and entitlement mindset.

"We should not be put in a position again where we have to sacrifice our futures for those of adults that made the decision to come "

But we are here now and if what you think your terrible parents did to you was so bad you would be trying to see your way out! NO? You're complaining that they dragged you to America and it was the worst thing they could have done yet you are still here looking for scraps. Make it make sense. Im sorry but It's hard to take anybody seriously who would turn against and talk shit about their own parents. It goes against the very laws of nature.

I have said many times that I seriously wonder how many of the people posting on this board are really dreamers or serious posters for that matter because this is the only public forum where I have ever seen people dogging out their own parents.

Are you trying to justify your situation, lol

Who are you to talk about other peoples situation without any knowledge or facts. Sounds like an entitle little prick. I truly hope you loose your DACA "2nd class trash"

The bill on the senate, would bring relief to many that have contributed to the US a lot more than many on this board. Any dreamer talking trash about it, should go cry to mamma and fuck off.

It would be relief to many, but it is also fact that a bunch of pussies are technically squandering away a great opportunity to get citizenship for us and other immigrants.

In any event, I don’t think that parliamentarian will approve of plan c either. Lmfaoooo

The entitlement from people who can't even vote or offer anything back in return for what they are given is insane. The posters who keep saying there are right wing agitators in here masquerading as dreamers makes so much sense. I use to think some were genuinely upset about not getting enough but its really obvious sometimes to see that some of y'all are just pushing defeatism and really don't want most to get anything at all but mask it by pretending y'all are upset we are not getting green cards on the spot.
For me, I am not angry that others will get relief. I am angry these blue bitches aren’t pushing for citizenship. Add another 10 million in potential beneficiaries. Who gives a flying fuck. Just stop being bitches Dems and push for citizenship. That’s the damn problem.
