Hi all,

Searched and searched but couldn't find any info so here it goes..

Does anyone have a concurrent AOS filling and DACA renewal going on? Or has had one in the past?

I submitted my AOS application in August 2021, and it is "under review". I also submitted my DACA renewal app last week, and I basically don't know what to expect. My assumption right now is that, because DACA renewals have been approved so fast these days, the DACA application will get approved first and quick. I am wondering tho if this would have any impact on the AOS application...would they move it along faster perhaps? I'm just wondering what your experiences were like with the 2 apps out there at the same time.

TIA!

I did that two years ago, back in Feb 2020. applied for my DACA while I was waiting for my AOS interview. had no issues with either. Had my DACA approved first and then AOS approved a few months later.

Two different unrelated cases. Getting DACA approved won't affect AOS. Getting AOS approved will get your DACA denied for mootness (since you're already an LPR so you don't need DACA).

Right, agreed. I asked because I swore I read someone's DACA was denied due to AOS application in the works? But I got ahead of myself because I just saw today my renewal was approved...lightning speed. Hoping for some more movement on the AOS app.

Hi everyone!

Another (maybe) silly question -

got an email with status update and my EAD has been approved and card produced. However, my I-131 has a "case closed" status but the status blurb still says case was received and receipt was sent. Does anyone know what this means? Should I call USCIS office and ask for a clear update on the I131? Also, how long after receiving EAD would the green card interview (if one needed) come through? Has anyone had a similar situation?
